The Educational and Community Programming at Sky High brings to life, literally, the farm’s core values - equity, creativity, community service, and education - through partnerships and activities that center food, land and agriculture. The programs are intended to be small steps towards big change, reminders of personal and communal power, of alternative routes and alternative roots. They contribute to the farm’s vision of supporting human and ecology-centered food systems, and examining the roles these systems play in our social and cultural relationships.
Based around opportunities for skill sharing, community service, artistic exploration and resource distribution, the farm’s programming is developed holistically through collaboration with a wide-range of partners and audiences. These programs, which are almost always offered free of charge, include site and time-specific events and workshops, material-based projects (both virtual and physical), and various engagements with ongoing partners.

Sky High Farm occasionally organizes a project that falls just outside the realm of our traditional programming and fundraising, and which calls upon our diverse network of partners and supporters to build it with us. Each project is an investment in time and the idea that the farm’s impact is broadened and emboldened by a creative and collaborative outlook.
